Wizards Defeat Previously Undefeated Raptors, Advancing to NBA 2K League Finals vs. Warriors

The 2020 NBA 2K Finals are set. Warriors Gaming Squad and Wizards District Gaming have advanced to play each other on Friday, August 28 at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN2, ESPN’s digital platforms, the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

The previously undefeated Raptors Uprising GC were swept by the Wizards to advance to their first NBA 2K League Finals.

In the two-game series sweep, Wizards District center Ryan “Dayfri” Conger, a finalist for 2020 NBA 2K League Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.  2020 NBA 2K League Draft No. 1 overall pick and point guard John “JBM” Mascone averaged 21 points and 5.5 assists.

Warriors Gaming Squad swept their way in as well, defeating Jazz Gaming, also advancing to their first NBA 2K League Finals.

Warriors Gaming Squad point guard and 2020 NBA 2K League MVP finalist Charlie “CB13” Bostwick averaged 37.5 points and 6.5 assists, and Samuel “Gradient” Salyers averaged 16.5 points and 3.5 steals on 90 percent shooting from the field.

The 2020 NBA 2K League Playoffs delivered by DoorDash has a total prize pool of $920,000, with the NBA 2K League champions receiving $420,000 from that pool.  The remaining $500,000 will be distributed among the teams that qualified for the 2020 Playoffs (second place – $150,000, third and fourth place – $75,000, fifth through eighth place – $35,000, ninth and tenth place – $30,000).
