Upcoming 2K Football Game Delayed Until at Least 2022
Back in March of last year, 2K mentioned their ‘non-simulation’ football game would release in 2021, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.
Looking over the latest Take-Two earnings report, a new football game is not listed. It appears the return of 2K Football has been delayed until at least 2022.
Three sports-oriented games are on tap for Fiscal 2023 and Fiscal 2024, according to Axios’ Stephen Totilo. So, we are likely to see the return of 2K football just ahead of the 2022-2023 NFL season.

Here’s another quote via IGN.
“While we are very excited to once again be working with the NFL and NFLPA, our first title under these new partnerships is no longer expected to be released during fiscal year 2022,” a statement from 2K reads. “2K will have more to share on their plans for our football offerings going forward.”
While 2K partnered with the NFLPA back in July, we haven’t heard much from them since. It appears we will be waiting a lot longer than we anticipated.
