Undisputed Developers Provide Details on Upcoming Health and Damage Balancing
The Undisputed development team is actively sharing their progress while refining the game ahead of its official launch on October 11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Their latest update provides details on the health and damage balancing adjustments and how these changes contribute to achieving their overall goal.
During early access, community feedback and data indicated that winning fights was more about progressive damage and clean combinations than perfectly timed counterpunches, making some powerful punches less impactful. To address this, damage from power punches and counterpunches has been increased. Landing a clean power punch from fighters like Deontay Wilder or Frank Bruno will have a greater effect. While counterpunch damage has been boosted, the counter window has been reduced, requiring even more precise timing to land a successful counterpunch.
Directional damage has also been introduced, making forward-moving punches more effective than backward-moving ones. This benefits both powerful hitters and pressure fighters who focus on sustained offense. This change balances the advantages of both aggressive and defensive styles. Short-term health regeneration has been sped up, while damage to maximum head and body health has been increased. This adjustment aims to support high-paced, action-packed rounds without causing too many knockdowns, while still ensuring that consistent, effective fighting has a cumulative impact over time.
