In Undisputed, delivering punches that look great and feel satisfying has been a priority. However, during early access, feedback from players highlighted that some punches didn’t quite meet expectations. To address this, the team has updated several punches to ensure they deliver the impact that boxing fans expect. They even arranged for extra motion capture sessions to make these improvements possible.

One of the key updates focuses on stationary jabs and straights, which have been refined to come out cleaner than before. The straight right hand now generates more torque, while the jab is thrown with greater intent. The body straight has been adjusted so that fighters bend their knees more naturally, which not only looks better but can also help players slip under punches if their timing is right. Uppercuts have also been tweaked, reducing the range from which they can be effectively thrown. This means that body uppercuts will need to be set up properly, rather than used as lazy lead punches.

Another area of focus has been step-in punches. The team has improved the step-in straight and step-in body jab, providing more options for players to close the distance or chase down retreating opponents. These new punches are less floaty, with a more explosive and tight execution than seen in early access. To ensure these punches fit seamlessly together, the team has also worked on improving combination flow. Whether throwing a classic 1-2-3, changing levels to keep opponents guessing, or mixing up hooks and uppercuts, the updated combo flow should make these sequences feel more fluid and realistic.
