One of the most exciting elements of every MLB The Show release is the new slate of legends added each year. With MLB’s rich history of superstar players supplemented by era-dominant All-Stars and role-playing favorites, each new legend class brings freshness and variety. We’ll keep a running tab on all legends in MLB The Show 23 for quick reference and update the list with each reveal.

Until the final game comes out, we won’t have complete confirmation on returning legends. For now, we’ll highlight the new additions and finalize the list once all (new and old) legends have been confirmed. Included below will also be the full legend list from MLB The Show 22 (most of these players should return in ’23). We tend to lose a few legends each year, so this will be a dynamic post with updates as they’re confirmed.

We’re creeping closer and closer to MLB The Show 23‘s release date. There’s been a lot of information dropping about the Negro Leagues, Diamond Dynasty, Road to the Show, Franchise and more. One of the juicer info drops was a ratings reveal for players and teams. Seeing where players stack up and who gets the coveted 99 overall rating is always a blast, and here we’ll have all the ratings updated as they’re released.

SDS utilizes the previous three seasons to determine player ratings. Keep that in mind as you peruse the list below. Additionally, each team’s overall rating among MLB teams will be listed by each respective team. During SDS’s reveal stream, some teams ranked with the same number, which indicates a “tie” at that ranking.

MLB The Show 23 WBC

With the World Baseball Classic well underway, SDS announced that WBC-themed content would be in MLB The Show 23. For the first time ever, Diamond Dynasty will feature World Baseball Classic uniforms, animations, moments and international players. As MLB The Show has firmly taken hold, every new release was met with requests for the World Baseball Classic. And it’s finally here.

Putting is arguably the most important aspect of golf. It comes naturally for some, but for others putting can be a real challenge, especially from different lengths.

PGA Tour 2K23 follows a similar formula like with previous games in the series by HB Studios going back to The Golf Club. It tries to follow a truly authentic approach focusing on feel and accuracy. Some will thrive with this style while others may struggle with it if they’re new to the game.

That said, there are a few easy ways to help improve your skills with the flat stick to hopefully get you rolling them like Tiger Woods, Ben Crenshaw, and Inbee Park in no time.

A new addition this year that Visual Concepts added was a timing-based kick-out meter. The objective is to time the little line perfectly inside the red area. This, like any new feature, will take time to master. However, once you have it down, it’s much more fun trying to time a kick out or to break free from a 10 count during a last-man-standing match than it is to button mash, risking the flesh of your thumb with every kick out.

WarGames is another new feature added this year, and everything about it is as chaotic as you’d imagine. Players can choose between 3 vs. 3 and 4 vs. 4 matches. Much like the actual match, two superstars start in the ring, as the others enter later on. One of the coolest features about this is you can toggle between wrestlers. This is necessary if you want to bring weapons into the ring. Changing into a superstar that’s getting ready to enter the match before he enters the cage allows you to reach under the ring, kicking WarGames up a notch. This is by far my favorite match type and never once does it feel too bogged down or crowded.
