The Arizona Cardinals are going through some serious changes. Shortly after their Week 18 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the team parted ways with head coach Kliff Kingsbury. In addition, general manager Steve Keim stepped down due to medical concerns. So, with an inevitable rebuild incoming, the team has started to make it known that they are interested in shedding cap space. One of the ways the Cardinals are interested in doing so is by parting ways with wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins via trade.
In real life, Hopkins has a no-trade clause, so he will have some say over his next stop (he wants a new contract as well). But in Madden — where no such thing exists — the possibilities are endless.
Tom Brady will be 46 by the time the 2023 NFL season kicks off. Following his Tampa Bay Buccaneers losing at home to the Dallas Cowboys to cap off Super Wild Card Weekend, the speculation regarding Brady’s future has begun. For someone who’s already been pushing the athletic longevity of the human body for years now, it remains unclear whether there’s one more chapter to be written in the history of the greatest quarterback of all time. That said, if he does stick around, let’s consider where Tom Brady might sign.
When a new installment of MLB The Show is on the horizon, it’s tradition for fans to speculate about who this year’s cover athlete will be or should be. Perhaps more important than who the specific athlete will be though, is what type of athlete it should be. The tradition has primarily been to select a rising star who embodies everything exciting about today’s game. That makes perfect sense considering there’s a new game every year and the creators no doubt want each installment to feel fresh and current. Why linger on yesterday’s news when you can hop aboard the trending train?
If you’ve played recent Madden games, you may already have some familiarity with man-match coverage. Unlike man-to-man defense, which locks a defender’s assignment before a play or spot-drop zone defense that asks a defender to cover an area of the field, man-match coverage allows defenders to choose their coverage assignments post-snap based on the routes run by the receivers. Defenders in man-match coverage schemes can dynamically convert to man-to-man coverage on demand, pass off routes to teammates in better position to defend them, zone off to replace assignments abandoned by teammates in conjunction with their decisions, or even make downhill cuts in anticipation of routes entering their vicinity from across the field.
The hype levels for Undisputed grow every time we get our hands on it. From the early screens that seemed almost too good to be true to the first time we steppedinside the ring, Undisputed has impressed each time. Nonetheless, the game is not without its faults, and in this article we’ll get into some areas we’d like to see improved upon for Beta #3 (and the looming early access phase).
Beta #2 introduced flash knockdowns and we were all so grateful for them, especially with the inclusion of heavy hitters such as the likes of Deontay Wilder.
