Players You Plan to Create in EA Sports College Football 25

There’s still a lot we don’t know about how created players will work in EA Sports College Football 25, but many of us are already thinking about players we want to create.

Some of this depends on how much we’ll be able to edit incoming recruits, plus there’s question marks around how much we can do to create players outside of Team Builder right now — let alone how sharing will work. Still, OS user noarmsduck rightfully started this thread because we’re still going to have some wiggle room here either way.

There is no “right” way to create players and add them to the game, but GoDucks1224 has a philosophy I like.

I like to recreate players who had their careers hurt, or ended, by injuries. Guys like Marcus Dupree, and Marcus Lattimore, Willis McGahee (They would have won the national championship if he hadn’t gotten hurt), etc.

Marcus Lattimore really was a menace at South Carolina.

One reason a lot of us hope there is still a good amount of flexibility with created players is that we want ways to “fix” any issues that maybe start to crop up with recruiting. OS user AirRaid247 calls it out here:

I prayyyy that the recruiting classes are not like ’14. I need to see those blue chip offensive tackles and edge rushers. Not only one or two in the top 100.

This is generally one of my biggest points in favor of creating/editing players right now. I hope the recruiting system is flawless, but giving us the tools to tweak issues that pop up would be very nice.

OS user Junior Moe hits on something else I like of just guys who were “college good” but never quite got there at the next level. I may be biased because I want to bring QB Jared Lorenzen back to really show that Wear and Tear system what’s up.

I haven’t thought much about this but it would be cool to recreate some of my favorite college football players who never panned out in the NFL. I had a lot of fun back in the day with Woody Dantzler at Clemson and my boy the lefty David Greene at Georgia. I actually ended up drafting Dantzler to the Bengals and had a nice run with him as QB.

Feel free to hop in the thread and spawn some ideas of your own. I hope we get to see a lot of creativity with Team Builder and beyond once EA Sports College Football 25 releases on July 19.
