The Miami Marlins wrapped up the NL East, and from there we go now to a more robust team, the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs home run swings are much more diversified, albeit there are not many celebrations to cover. On top of that, of course we have the cover athlete, Javy Baez, to look at as well. So let’s jump into the NL Central and grade some swings and celebrations.

I started the NL Central with the Chicago Cubs and cover athlete Javy Baez, but now we move to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals are light on celebrations, but they have a decent number of signature home run swings. So with the Cardinals home run swings, we have four to analyze, so let’s get to it.

Prince is back this week with another video, this time discussing his top 5 favorite stadiums in Super Mega Baseball 3.

Following up on the St. Louis Cardinals, we continue our trek through the NL Central as we now discuss the Cincinnati Reds home run swings. The Reds have new faces mixed in with the old guard here so it’s a diverse group to analyze.

Matt is back ranking the top 5 duos in NBA Jam history. Now, to be clear, this is for the console release of NBA Jam, and this does not take into account Tournament Edition either. We felt it might be fun to do this now because the arcade cabinets for NBA Jam are shipping soon — it includes Tournament Edition and Hang Time as well on it (and Charles Barkley back in the game) — and because NBA Jam will always rule.

With the Cincinnati Reds reviewed, we have two teams left to cover in the NL Central. First up, I will be looking at the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers home run swings are a relatively easy bunch to go through. I will be covering four players, and at least two of the players should be obvious to most. Let’s do it.

With the Milwaukee Brewers out of the way, the Pittsburgh Pirates are the final team to cover in the NL Central before we head off to the NL West. The Pirates home run swings are few and far between as of now. They have some intriguing prospects in the system, but as for home run hitters currently on the team, I only have two I felt the need to put on the list.

We finished out the NL Central with the Pittsburgh Pirates, which means we now move to the NL West. I’ll be starting the reviews in the NL West with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers home run swings are numerous, and we also have a bunch of celebrations to review as well.

We started off the NL West with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and now we move to the Colorado Rockies. There are four Colorado Rockies home run swings I’ll be reviewing, and there’s two celebrations mixed in as well. Let’s do it.

Hoop League Tactics offers a robust set of features for a mobile game. One of the best parts of this game is the customization suite and the depth it gives users. Once you get into it, if you’re a person that’s big on realism and accuracy, you tend to forget that you’re playing a game on your phone. It really is incredible to see the amount of detail and obvious time that FlyRice has put into the product.

I have shared DC and Hyperballer’s edits of NBA 2K20 before, and they have been hard at work on another set of updates that recently went live on Xbox One. The last time I highlighted their work it was after they had redone ratings and tendencies for every NBA team. This latest update goes in a slightly different direction as now they’re focused on ’90s teams and certain Kobe Bryant teams. On top of that, 48 of the 50 “NBA 50” players are now included in this roster release.

Sports video games and how they interact with the US and global discourse right now around Black Lives Matter, systemic racism and police brutality are not high on the list of priorities at this exact moment. However, we have seen in the last week how many big corporations and folks who generally would not speak out on such issues are finding their voices right now in an effort to promote change and support allies.

One of the few things I look forward to going from one Madden to the next is each team’s newly assigned rookies. And while the trenches may have more of an impact than we give them credit for on a daily basis, it’s the rookies at the skill positions that get me most excited. We know speed kills, but sometimes elusiveness, route running and accuracy can have an equal impact on your game.

If there is anything else you would like to see in the OS weekly wrap-up, feel free to let us know in this post. Otherwise, we will see you next Sunday.
