New Retro Bowl Update Adjusts Difficulty, Injury Frequency & More
Retro Bowl has recently received an update for both iOS and Android devices. The update adjusts the difficulty and injury frequency, along with adding a ball trail and more.
Here’s what’s new in the update.
- Adjusted difficulty
- Fixed achievements
- Adjusted injury frequency
- Players injured in a game still gain half XP
- Added sound fx option
- Adjusted rehab effects
- Fixed rehab facility upgrade healing players
- Fixed injured/resting players being mentioned in commentary
- Fixed Null Team offers
- Plugged memory leaks
- Fixed taking a PAT on first drive of O.T
- Fixed touchbacks and 2pt interceptions
- Fixed draft picks gained from trades during draft
- Fixed QB touchdowns counting for other team
- Added ball trail
The team is already hard at work on the next update, which will provide proper aspect ratio scaling, so the game will fill the screen, no matter the device.

In the end, Retro Bowl is quite possibly the most fun mobile game I have ever played. Sure, there’s only so much you can do before you’re just playing tirelessly through each season with hopes of winning back-to-back titles. But for a game that seems so simple, it’s anything but simple. As you progress deeper into a season, the game seems to get much harder, and you will need to prioritize the players you sign via free agency and the draft. After spending the last week with the game, it has lived up to the hype and much more.
