NBA 2K24 Soundtrack Pays Homage to 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop
2K has revealed information about the NBA 2K24 soundtrack marking the 25th anniversary of the NBA 2K series and the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. The soundtrack showcases influential tracks from both the past and present while keeping an eye on the future. It will include over 50 artists at launch, exclusives and new songs added every Friday.
Some featured songs include “Just Wanna Rock” by Lil Uzi Vert, “Walk” by Kodak Black, “In Ha Mood” by Ice Spice, “Kobe Bryant” by Lil Wayne, “Bad Habit” by Steve Lacy, “hooligan” by Baby Keem, “90 Proof” by Smino & J. Cole, “Breakfast In Monaco” by Larry June & The Alchemist, “Black” by YoungBoy Never Broke Again and many others.
This year will feature a fresh array of additions to the soundtrack starting with Season 1. Def Jam Recordings promises to infuse the mix with a blend of timeless classics such as Warren G’s “This DJ (feat. O.G.L.B.)” and Rick Ross’s “Hustlin’,” alongside contemporary hits like Armani White’s “GOATED (feat. Denzel Curry)” and Hit-Boy & Avelino’s “2 Certified.” Furthermore, be prepared for the debut of entirely new and previously unheard tracks like Haiti Babii’s “My Time,” SwaVay’s “FOLD,” Navy Blue’s “Dolla,” Connie Diiamond’s “Crazy” and Jex Nwalor’s “Stand Out.”
NBA 2K24 releases on September 8 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
