NBA 2K20 Rosters: Realistic Tendencies and Ratings From DC And Hyperballer

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

One of the biggest issues with NBA 2K20 rosters — and NBA 2K rosters in general most years — is that the tendencies are usually rather rough. There is most likely a reason for that, but it’s still really cool that DCAllAmerican and Hyperballer go out of their way to try and re-create proper CPU tendencies for the stars and teams of the NBA. They do a great job, and they recently released the Play Now version of their overhauled rosters.

Again, this is not just some basic roster edit. They overhaul tendencies, ratings and badges to best represent NBA basketball. This is also very much for offline users, and it’s not meant for your online franchise mode. On top of that, they will be releasing a MyLeague version soon, but it’s not ready quite yet. However, you can keep an eye on the thread and look for updates from them as it seems like that roster will be out soon.

Sadly, this is just for Xbox One folks because there is not a PS4 version. However, I have literally have purchased the game twice before just to get these rosters in the past on a different console, so I hope that is a strong enough recommendation of their work. In addition, you can see highlights of these rosters on their YouTube page.

You can also get some classic rosters from this file, which is also detailed below. They include teams from the 2010s, 2000s, 1990s, 1980s, 1970s, 1960s and 1950s. There really is a little bit for everyone, assuming you care about realistic rosters and trying to get true simulation results.

Lastly, you can get sliders to go along with these rosters.

Roster Information

Things edited: Attributes, Tendencies, Badges, Play Types, Vitals, Signature Dunks & Dribbles, and Coach Profiles & POEs to better mimic each team’s and players individual style. You’ll notice in playing against the old school teams versus the current teams.
