More Gran Turismo 7 PS VR2 Details Revealed with Hands-On Impressions
We learned last month that the free PlayStation VR2 update for Gran Turismo 7 would arrive at launch featuring all of the cars and tracks on February 22. Online races will also be supported, however 2-player split screen races will not.
PlayStation.Blog has posted more details today, providing four reasons to be excited about the upcoming VR update. Improved visuals and clarity are to be expected but the head tracking is a game changer. If you have never played a racing game in VR you’re in for a treat.
GTPlanet has also posted their hands-on impressions of GT7 on the PS VR2 here, stating it transforms the entire experience.
For me, driving with PSVR2 actually feels a bit easier, as it helps me convince my brain that I am interacting with a real three-dimensional space. You can look through corners, or keep your head pointed towards the track as you drift or counter-steer to correct a slide. Driving games are just perfectly suited to virtual reality, and from my perspective it appears that Gran Turismo 7 is offering one of the best virtual reality driving experiences available today.
The PS VR2 and the Gran Turismo 7 update are both scheduled to release on February 22.
