MLB The Show 24 Manager Only Mode - Give Us Back Our Cameras

Manager only mode (or manager mode) has been a thing for many years in MLB The Show, and it’s actually a really underrated feature in terms of the amount of depth that’s there. However, it’s got what I’ll call a “bug” right now in MLB The Show 24 that is preventing users from changing the camera.

Within franchise mode, keeping things fresh comes in many different forms. Whether it’s joining games in progress, simulating games, using player lock, or doing manager mode, they’re all there to keep you coming back to play your franchise. But SDS has made a change or created a bug that fixes the camera during gameplay to just the backstop camera seen below.

The camera itself works, but it’s not how most of us like to play manager mode. Manager mode isn’t meant as a way to replace OOTP, but one of the appeals of doing manager mode specifically in MLB The Show is getting to look at all the gameplay how you want while not playing the game yourself. Once the ball is hit, then the camera view does change, but this is the only camera we can use when at the plate/pitching.

This is now how it was before, and basically now the game is not recognizing the camera change within manager mode, again, as shown below:

The hitting view and pitching view are not taken into account within manager mode. This saps some of the fun out of it because some of us like using the more press box style view, others go with the more TV-style look, but the point is we can’t do anything right now, and that saps some of the intrigue from the mode.

So, in short, please give us back our camera views SDS. It’s been in the game before, so hopefully it can be patched in again rather than needing to wait until next year’s game for a fix.
