If you missed the Diamond Dynasty breakdown from SDS or have not secured an early access copy of MLB The Show 22 yet, just know that Inning Programs are now a thing of the past. Instead, what we have now are Featured Programs. These programs are time-limited like the old Inning Programs, but they’re going to be more flexible and incorporate more components than the old Inning Programs did. The first Featured Program in MLB The Show 22 is Faces of the Franchise.
You will be able to secure 12 of the 30 Faces of the Franchise by finishing the Featured Program. The other 18 players have to be purchased on the marketplace, or they will likely be in future packs as new Featured Programs are released. This program will run through just about all of April. It also seems like new missions (and probably player programs) will be added to this Featured Program as well, so this will be where I post those updates.

Bottom Line
It will be interesting to see the flow of this first mega program since it’s new territory for SDS going away from Inning Programs. A couple players like Ronald Acuna Jr. and Mike Trout immediately stand out from the crowd as those Live Series versions were hard to snag in the past. However, I’m more excited about a large influx of gold players right from the start. I hope this year we get far more bronze, silver, and gold players — and then have a reason to use them.
Again, you will have about a month to complete this program, and we do expect to get more missions and players as the program progresses forward. As for trying to get all 30 players, I would wait on that. There is no major collection for the Faces of the Franchise as of now, so I do assume we’ll have many more opportunities to get these players even after the program technically “expires” at the end of April.
