MLB The Show 22 Cover Athlete is Shohei Ohtani, Releases on April 5, Coming to Nintendo Switch - Some Features Revealed

Shohei Ohtani has been named the cover athlete for MLB The Show 22. The AL MVP hit 46 home runs, 100 RBI’s and had 26 stolen bases. If that wasn’t enough, he also had a 9-2 pitching record with a 3.18 ERA and 156 strikeouts.

MLB The Show 22 will release on April 5 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and for the first time, Nintendo Switch. The Collector’s Edition will be revealed on February 2.

Nintendo fans can now join in with Xbox and PlayStation fans to play against each other online with cross-platform play in MLB The Show 22. In addition, cross progression allows you to earn and use any earned content on any platform or generation (this excludes PS5 and Xbox Series X|S exclusive features like Stadium Creator). With cross saves you can transfer a save file for Road to the Show or Franchise mode to a different console.
