Team Affinity Season 3 for MLB The Show 21 blasted off today, and this gives us 30 new players to earn by doing various tasks. If you did not complete Team Affinity Season 2, that does not stop you from being able to knock out Season 3. You can earn points for either one or sometimes both simultaneously if you dropped behind. Below, you can find every player card, attribute, and quirk, plus you can see what the reward structure is for each division.

The reward structure and mission structure are slightly different here for Team Affinity Season 3. There are no new Conquest maps, there is an added exchange, and the repeatable missions have changed slightly. In addition, the reward structure within each division (beyond the Team Affinity players) is slightly different based on the division you’re doing. I have bolded below where you get the Team Affinity Season 3 players, and where the Headliners pack changes based on what division you are doing.
You get 45 TA points per division if you do all four exchanges. The most efficient way to do any division involves doing those four exchanges in each division for as cheap as possible. From there, I will do the division-specific collection, which if you play the game a lot should be relatively easy to do for another 10 points. This is what your exchanges will look like after this:

After that, it’s up to you, but I will basically load my team up with a bunch of players from a specific division and tally up innings with them as I complete other missions.

You don’t have to do everything right away either. This is a “smaller” drop than TA2 in that we just are getting one batch of players rather than 60 when we had a “lead up” pack to the main event. So do your exchanges, but don’t lose your shirt doing them. Relievers are a minimum here in this set, with all three of them all coming from one division (NL Central). There is only one catcher (J.T. Realmuto), and there is only one 99 overall (Jacob deGrom).
All in all, this looks like a great set of players, and we’ll keep an eye on that Ohtani card as well. Lastly, we know we’re getting HR Derby cards and other goodies during the All-Star festivities, which we will be sure to post as well.
