Headliners Set 22 2nd Half Heroes Ken Griffey Jr. replaces Awards Dwight Evans in Headliners packs today. He is a 96 overall.

This one is a whopper. We will still get at least one 99 overall Ken Griffey Jr., but it’s never clear when we will get this second Griffey Jr. card. Last year, it was a Home Run Derby version, so this year I take it we’re getting this 2nd Half Heroes version instead of that one. The card art here is great, but arguably these stats are just solid. He’s got 85+ attributes across his hitting stats, 85 vision, and 105 discipline. On the fielding side of things, he has 82 speed to go with 91 fielding, 91 arm strength, and 92 reaction. All in all, it’s a great card, but we have seen much higher hitting stats as of late on some other cards.

Regardless, he’s going to be a great center fielder, and since he’s always a fan favorite this card will be a hot commodity for at least 24 hours. Who knows what happens starting tomorrow with us getting the Topps Now June program, plus we have Team Affinity 3 on the horizon, which is going to deliver a ton of great cards.
