As most of you are aware, MLB The Show 20 is playable on the PlayStation 5, allowing the game to run at a higher frame rate and improve load times.

UPDATE: (11-14) Samit has uploaded an hour of MLB The Show 20 footage from the PlayStation 5.

When capturing in 4K, the PS5 only records to WebM files encoded with the VP9 codec; if you want an MP4 file, you’re limited to recording in 1080p. This file came out to 21.54 GB on the PS5 SSD, although when I exported it to a USB stick, it took up 20 GB there.

Our friend and front page editor at Polygon, Samit Sarkar, has posted a new gameplay video, captured with the Create button on the new DualSense controller. Gaze at the video below, it truly looks amazing in 4K HDR at 60 frames per second.

Samit also compared the loading times with MLB The Show 20 on the PlayStation 4 vs. PlayStation 5. Not too shabby.

The PlayStation 5 releases on November 12 and for those of you lucky enough to get your pre-order in, it looks like you’re in for a treat with MLB The Show 20.

While some features available on the PlayStation 4 might be missing on the next-gen console, no details have been specified.
