MLB The Show 20: Topps Now Wil Myers Among 5 New Players

Topps Now Wil Myers is the highest-rated addition this week for the latest batch of Topps Now players. The new players are Topps Now Wil Myers, Topps Now Amed Rosario, Topps Now Eric Sogard, Topps Now Deivi Garcia and Topps Now Donovan Solano. This wraps up the August Topps Now players and we now know this batch of Topps Now players will end on September 11 — based on the content schedule put out by SDS.

Going through each of the five players real quick:

• Topps Now Wil Myers has 116 power vs. RHP and 110 power vs. LHP. He is a primary RF with secondaries at 1B, 3B, LF, CF.
• Topps Now Amed Rosario has 120 contact vs. LHP. He’s got 83 speed but looks like a platoon option overall with versatility 2B and 3B.
• Topps Now Eric Sogard has 107 contact vs. RHP and 109 vision. I actually rake with Sogard for some reason so maybe give this card a look and see if the same holds true for you.
• Topps Now Deivi Garcia has a five-pitch mix of a 4-seam, curve, change, slider and 2-seam. The stats look respectable across the board but nothing really stands out.
• Topps Now Donovan Solano continues the trend this week of utility infielders. He has maxed out contact vs. RHP, 114 contact vs. LHP and 115 vision. He also has 87 fielding, 96 reactions and might be the steal of the week.

This is the seventh batch of Topps Now players. I thought the last batch would be the final one (since it’s now September) but it makes sense to put one week of lag on the next group since these cards always come out a couple days later.
