Topps Now Lucas Giolito headlines the latest batch of August Topps Now players — and you can get him free for the next couple days in the Show Shop.
The new players are Topps Now Lucas Giolito, Topps Now Jose Abreu, Topps Now Kenta Maeda, Topps Now Trent Grisham, Topps Now Dansy Swanson and Topps Now Triston McKenzie.
- Topps Now Triston McKenzie (94 overall) has a standard four-pitch mix to go with 110 K/9.
- Topps Now Trent Grisham (95) has 125 power vs. right-handed pitching and gold defense in center field.
- Topps Now Dansby Swanson (96) has 108 contact vs. right-handed pitching and 125 clutch. He also has diamond fielding and can play SS, 2B or 3B.
- Topps Now Jose Abreu (97) has 110 contact vs. left-handed pitching and 125 power vs. right-handed pitching. He has relatively low vision and poor fielding.
- Topps Now Kenta Maeda (98) has 118 H/9, 110 K/9 and a five-pitch mix that includes a sinker.
- Topps Now Lucas Giolito (99) has maxed out H/9 and 109 K/9 to go with his standard four-pitch mix that’s been featured before in his Players League card.
This is the sixth batch of Topps Now players, and I think it’s the final set of players before the “lightning” player, which most likely will be Fernando Tatis Jr. at this point since Abreu got a card this week, and Bieber has already been featured as well. You can see the other players released for July and August here, here, here, here and here.

As usual, if you complete all the Moments you will get a choice pack where you can pick two players.
- August 17: Lieutenant Dansby
- Difficulty: Rookie
- Hit 1 HR
- August 18: King Kenta
- Difficulty: Rookie
- Pitch 8 innings
- Strike out 12 batters
- Do not give up 2 hits
- August 20: Welcome To Slam Diego
- Difficulty: Rookie
- Hit 1 HR
- Tally 4 RBI
- August 22: Dr. Sticks Shoves
- Difficulty: Veteran
- Pitch 6 innings
- Strike out 10 batters

- August 22: Grish For Three
- Difficulty: Rookie

- August 23: Bombs Away – 2 games
- Difficulty: Veteran

The Maeda moment might be hard even on rookie since two hits can be fluky over 8 innings. The other moment that might be a little tricky is 3 XBH in one game because, again, even on rookie that can be a little fickle at times.
