The newest event series has gone up and it’s the Live Series events. The Live Series 1 event goes up to 100 wins, and the big gets are at 35 and 50 wins. At 35 wins you get the infamous Kenny Lofton — most notably infamous from MLB The Show 19 — and diamond Fred McGriff at 50 wins. This event will run for about a week, and we may or may not get a new Live Series event right after it. Regardless of whether SDS does events back to back for the Live Series, just know your win totals will carryover to Live Series Event 2 whenever that happens. In other words, don’t feel like you need to get 100 wins in a week.

Miscellaneous Notes
- As always, you do not need to rush to get all 100 wins or even 50 wins. There will be more Live Series events after this week, so you can just chip away at your own pace.
- In addition, quitting is still your friend. The 12-win rewards are not good enough to warrant sticking out every game, so the goal here should be to get wins as quickly and efficiently as possible rather than chasing 12-win entries like for Battle Royale. Plus, ya know, having fun is also important.
- That Kenny Lofton card was one of the best cards in the game for most of MLB The Show 19. The game’s meta is different this year, so any and all contact isn’t as important as it was last year. I still think Lofton will be good, but I don’t think you should expect him to be as good this year.
- Overall, it seems like SDS decided to pump out a bunch of the team collection rewards from last year into this rewards list. I believe Percival, McGriff and Lofton were all team collections (Lofton was maybe the AL Central collection last year?). On top of that, these Machado and Kendall cards have both been team collection rewards in the past as well from what I remember.
- The power creep should be a little less stark here with this event. You’re still going to run into a lot of teams that look the same, but the variety should be a little more well rounded because the player pool is greatly expanded compared to the last couple events. In terms of high-end talent, we’re all picking from the same batch of players, but since we all have more Live Series players than Face of the Franchise or Future Stars cards, it should help keep things a little more fresh.
