MLB The Show 20: Headliners Set 39 Jose Altuve

Silver Slugger Jose Altuve has replaced Signature Series Don Sutton in Headliners packs today. Headliners Set 39 Jose Altuve is a 97 overall.

Altuve has the 125 clutch and the obvious contact vs. right-handed pitching to lean on here. He’s a contact wizard overall, but I don’t think this card will have tons of buzz. Altuve being really small does help him in The Show, but his bunting isn’t amazing and his fielding isn’t all-world either. He can play either middle infield spot, which is nice, but this does not look like a card that is going to track into tons of lineups as of now.

The odds on the Headliners packs remain the same as always, so good luck if you try getting him in packs as you’ll have a 1:10 chance at a diamond, albeit that diamond might not be Silver Slugger Jose Altuve.
