MLB The Show 19 Diamond Dynasty: 11th Inning Program Guide

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

MLB The Show 19‘s Diamond Dynasty mode is wrapping up with a hulking 11th Inning Program that will include bosses from old inning programs, as well as some other new flourishes I hope they include more of next season. We don’t know all the elements involved in this program as of yet because it’s 1,500 Stars, but I can highlight the big things for the first 600 Stars of the program at this point. Let’s go through it.

Also, I will update this guide as we get more info on the remaining stars in the upcoming days and weeks.

New Players

MLB The Show 19 Diamond Dynasty

You get Robb Nenn with two vouchers from playing in the three Events that will take place during this program. The first Event is ongoing and will be detailed further down.

Nenn was already one of the better closers in the game due to his easily repeatable windup and dirty pitch mix via the NL West collection reward. This version gets goosed up pitch speeds and retains a very good pitch mix. I actually think he may end up being slightly worse than the NL West reward one because the speeds got a little closer together in some respects.

Jose Bautista is acquired with four Events vouchers.

This is not a spectacular card for this point in the season. He’s a Show fan favorite and that will carry him a little higher than he should go, but it’s not a card that stands out. His power is above average but not amazing, and his fielding beyond the arm strength isn’t spectacular. He can get a little burn at 3B maybe, but outfield has so many options Bautista can’t quite live up to expectations.

MLB The Show 19 Diamond Dynasty

Eddie Matthews can be had if you get to eight vouchers via Events wins.

Matthews continues to be a player I always perform well with, but this is a rather situational card for a 99 overall. He does get a secondary position on this card though, which is nice. Either way, he’s a play against right handers and that’s about it at this point.

Conquest

Conquest Map 1

MLB The Show 19 Diamond Dynasty

The first Conquest map is all about stopping the Diamondbacks. You want to take as much territory as possible as quickly as possible (like usual) and really ignore taking strongholds until you take land. The Diamondbacks generally seem to be the team that starts to get out of control if you don’t deal with them early on.

The secret rewards within this map are XP, Show packs, Stubs and a 30 team diamond selection. You also get rewards for each of the strongholds, which are better than the secret rewards.

Program Rewards

MLB The Show 19 Diamond Dynasty

This program goes to 1,500 Stars, with 135 packs and 18 diamond players (including seven 99 overall players) all able to be unlocked. There are some changes to how this program works as well with you being able to accrue Stars through old collections you may have already done. It’s a nice nod from Sony San Diego to give people a little head start on things if they have been grinding all year. If you can do all of the collections, you can get close to 200 Stars right from the jump.

Some of the best rewards in the known section of the program are:

  • 150 Stars – Finest Elite pack
  • 200 Stars – Ballin’ Is A Habit pack
  • 250 Stars – 9th Inning Program 200 Star pack
  • 300 Stars – Guaranteed Rare Signature Series Choice pack
