Hunter Mullins Wins Inaugural NASCAR Heat Champions: Road to Miami Finale, Wins $10,000

704Games, NASCAR’s exclusive esports partner for simulation-style video games on console platforms, has hosted a weekly tournament, spanning the 2018 NASCAR Playoffs, from Sept. 10 through Nov. 11. Nine fans with the fastest total race times on NASCAR Heat 3 qualified for the final race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The nine finalists were flown to Miami for the Ford Championship Weekend to battle it out against each other, as well as three additional fans who qualified on Friday and Saturday leading up to the Finals, for the first-ever NASCAR esports championship on gaming consoles.

Hunter Mullins was crowned the winner of the inaugural NASCAR Heat Champions: Road to Miami Finale, presented by Xfinity, Sunday morning at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Hunter took home $10,000 in prize money, an Audeze Mobius gaming headset, a Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel Leather Edition, and an exclusive race weekend package from Homestead-Miami Speedway.

NASCAR Heat Champions: Road to Miami is the conclusion of a joint effort from 704Games and NASCAR to engage racing fans and gamers through esports. The mass-market reach of NASCAR Heat 3 creates an unparalleled esports opportunity for NASCAR fans around the country. In 2019, 704Games, in partnership with NASCAR, will look to expand NASCAR Heat Champions to engage esports fans globally.
