NBA 2K25 continues a longtime tradition of providing shot feedback on every jump shot.
The satisfaction of the Green Release and the fact that you know the ball is going in ahead of time makes you feel truly powerful on the court. You feel a bit like Stephen Curry who, on many occasions has celebrated his shots before they have actually gone in because he’s that legendary of a shooter.
The Green Release remains in NBA 2K25 and is a major part of the longtime Shot Feedback system. But with all that said, how do you turn on Shot Feedback or how do you turn it off? Well, it’s very simple but it will be in a slightly different spot then you’d normally see like in Controller Settings.
Instead, we need to go to where it says Customize HUD. For Play Now hoopers, you can find this next to settings on the Features menu. Once there, go to where it says Shot Feedback and you can then tweak the feedback to be turned on or off.
If you’re playing in MyCareer/The City, then it’s basically the same thing. Hit the pause menu while in The City and then go over to where it says Animations. You’ll once again see the Customize HUD section on the far right of the menu. When you’re in, tweak the settings to your heart’s content. You can also turn your shot meter on or off as usual.
Having the feedback on can be a great way to see where your jumper is. If you’re in The City, make sure to head to your MyCourt and get some shots up and try different jumpers if you need to. Get comfortable and you’ll be drilling threes and mid-range shots like a pro.
