Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged to Feature Fast & Furious Vehicles
Milestone has announced a collaboration with Universal Games to features Fast & Furious cars in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. On day one, players will have the opportunity to take the wheel of the relentless Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, famously driven by Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise. More vehicles from the series will be introduced after the initial release as paid DLC.
“We’re delighted to bring these two iconic racing franchises even closer together in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, building on years of collaboration with our wonderful partners at Universal Games and Digital Platforms,” said Mike DeLaet, Global Head of Digital Gaming at Mattel. “You’d be hard pressed to find a more natural pairing than Hot Wheels and Fast & Furious, and the team at Milestone have done an outstanding job with bringing these fan-favorite vehicles to life in authentic Hot Wheels Unleashed fashion.”
In addition to the adrenaline-pumping actions of boosting and drifting, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged offers players the ability to Jump and Double Jump. By executing a boosted hop, racers can soar over adversaries, evade obstacles, and maneuver through narrow passages. Those who unleash their creativity can cleverly utilize this technique to uncover shortcuts or access previously unreachable areas of the track.
Accompanying these jumps is the Lateral Dash, offering players an alternative approach that relies on strength rather than pure speed. By colliding with cars on either side, racers can forcefully push their opponents off the track. These new maneuvers will come into play as players explore the five fresh environments presented in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is scheduled to release on October 19 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and The Epic Games Store.
