Field of Dreams Program and Goodies in MLB the Show 21

The Field of Dreams Program goes in a bunch of different directions that culminate in a Signature Series Roberto Clemente card. There is a Field of Dreams pack, a Field of Dreams Event, the Field of Dreams stadium, a Field of Dreams Conquest map, a Field of Dreams Showdown all somewhat wrapped in this Field of Dreams Program. On top of that, you can more or less complete the program either entirely online or offline, which is a nice touch. Let’s get to all the new content below.

Field Of Dreams Pack

This pack is available within the program itself, and you can also purchase up to five packs in The Show shop for 30K stubs a pop.

  • Signature Series Mike Piazza (99 overall)
  • Awards Lefty Grove (99)
  • Milestone Mike Schmidt (99)
  • Awards Kris Bryant (97)
  • Milestone Lou Brock (97)
  • Signature Series Jim Palmer (96)
  • Prime Paul Konerko (96)
  • Prime Dellin Betances (96)

The pack is broken into two tiers, so you’ll either hit on the top tier 99 overalls or get the consolation round.

As for the cards themselves, obviously this helps you if you’re chasing down Awards Mookie Betts still. On top of that, Mike Piazza is now the top hitting catcher in the game, but he’s still Piazza so he has just silver fielding. Beyond that, Lefty Grove has outlier on his fastball to go with a cutter. And then Mike Schmidt has incredible all-around skills to become one of the best 3B options in the game.

In the consolation round, you’re just getting good cards that will be about what you want. I’m most interested in Paul Konerko and Kris Bryant because I like their swings, but every option here will be worth checking out. With that said, I don’t think Jim Palmer has ever been very good in The Show, so maybe this will be the first card that changes that up.
