Last week I shared some fictional draft classes from JB for NBA 2K24, and here we have another set of seven fictional classes comes from OS user Funkycorm.

Funky’s been featured before and it’s cool to see they came back for another season, especially since they’re releasing seven (and perhaps even an eighth) class. They’ll explain below what these feature, but here is the info for those playing on PS5/Xbox Series X.

Funkycorm’s PS5 Fictional Draft Classes For NBA 2K24

This is the second year I will be releasing my draft classes publicly. I did it late in the cycle for 2k23 and got about 70 downloads. That’s great that there are people that are using this. My hope in going this route from the beginning is that these classes enrich the franchises of more players.

These will be for the PS5 but since cross server is now a thing they should be able to be enjoyed on Xbox as well.

I have 7-8 fictional draft classes I will be sharing during this cycle. I know that there is a slew of quality work already here yearly but thought that there may be those, like me, who like to sim or plays many years into the future and would like more draft classes at their disposal as they head into those future years.

I do not like how the game generates draft classes and have my own system for editing the classes to better fit my needs. A system I have been improving on since I started doing this in 2k20. In fact, I have even improved upon it from last year.

I do not write scouting reports on Google slides for these. Though I may do some small posts here for top 3 for each position. Maybe. I am not guaranteeing that. My goal is for players to not have a sense who is instantly the top pick and throw some decision making into who they are selecting. Make scouting matter.

Feel free to take these and make your own storylines for your dynasty as well.

What My Classes Have

All of my boom/average/bust percentages equal 100 percent. By this I mean, one player could be 80/10/10 and another could be 10/70/20 and any and all other combos in between. I did extensive testing on this and really like the results. Paired with the min and max potentials, I really like what has come from this.

There are first round busts, second round sleepers, role players, potential generational talents, and everything in between. And it can play out differently each time through because of the bust/boom percentages.

  • A variety of schools for players. No longer will you get 8 players from Duke in the same draft. It can make for some fun storyline creation in franchises as well.
  • Around 60 players per class edited meaning you have nearly 2 full rounds of players edited.
  • Eliminated multiple players of the same name throughout the classes.
  • Removed some badges that are OP.
  • Min and max potential adjusted.
  • Peak begin and peak end ages adjusted
  • Ages are more realistic and there are not 24-25 year olds. This includes much more realistic ages for top talent.
  • Some editing of tendencies.
  • Height adjustments.
  • Secondary position adjustments.
  • Overall adjustments as well as attribute adjustments.
  • There may be a few injured players along the way.
  • There is no guarantee that the number 1 pick each year is a guaranteed hall of famer or perennial all star. Draft wisely. Scout and be rewarded.

  • More tendency editing
  • Appearance editing
  • Signature shot editing
  • More Equipment editing

Other Information To Know

I do not release works in progress. I only release work I feel is completed. Do not ask for works in progress as the request will not be granted as releasing in progress work is not something I like to do.

I design these classes to fit my needs within a franchise so they may not be for everyone.

If these classes sound like something you would use, feel free to use them to your heart’s content. As I said, feel free to take them and make your own storylines.

I do not know the rate at which these will be released. Multiple factors come into play for that and I do not want to make promises I cannot keep.

Feel free to leave constructive feedback as I am looking to improve on these classes and my class creating in the future. Statements such as ‘why didn’t you…,” “you should have…,” and others similar to this will not be acknowledged and responded too bluntly.

In Closing

These classes are all about adding more options for users to have. I like to sim years into the future and the more classes the better. The other creators here do amazing work on their classes and I enjoy and endorse them all.
