Spear Interactive has announced that fans can now add Varsity High School Football to their Steam wishlist. The game will feature a realistic on-field simulation experience with cutting-edge graphics, officially licensed equipment and a dynasty mode that allows you to step into the roles of either a Coach or Player as you strive to guide your local team to a state championship across several seasons.
Although a release date has not yet been revealed, interested players can join the official Patreon page, where limited playtesting opportunities are available. Make sure to add Varsity High School Football to your wishlist on Steam as well to show support.

With our emergent Dynasty Mode, you’ll guide your team through multiple seasons, navigating rivalries, building relationships with players and parents, managing your coaching staff, and securing support from boosters. The decisions you make will change the outcome of your experience throughout the season. Be careful what you promise because the strength of your relationships matter. No two seasons will be the same. Triumph could see you celebrated as a local legend, but one wrong move might thrust you into the eye of a media storm, sparking the wildest coaching carousel in video game history.
Here’s a few things the team has added recently to Dynasty Mode:
- Box Score Stats – One of the most requested features from our playtesters has been the ability to view player and team stats after simulated games. We’re excited to announce that development on this feature is complete! You’ll soon be able to dive into detailed stats after each game.
- Team Schedules –Â The backend work for team and weekly district schedules is now finished. These additions will be implemented into the Dynasty UI next month.
- Injury Progress –Â Player injuries are now more detailed than ever. The new Player Update and Player Detail screens will show exactly how long a player will be out, so you can plan your strategies accordingly. Minor injuries, such as thigh contusions, may allow players to return to the field sooner than expected.
- Weekly Awards – We’ve also started work on Weekly Offensive and Defensive Player awards at both the District and Region levels. Keep an eye out for these honors in future updates.
