F1 24 Career Mode Details - Driver Recognition System, R&D, Driver Accolades and More

EA Sports revealed their deep dive video and blog today showcasing all of the improvements in F1 24 Career Mode, describing it as the most substantial upgrade since 2016. Codemasters has transformed its Driver Career mode, offering players a single-player experience mirroring the authentic challenges encountered by F1 drivers. Now, for the first time, players can engage in the title race from the perspectives of current F1 season stars, up-and-coming F2 talents or continue the legacies of legendary drivers like Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.

The updated Career Mode harnesses the power of the Driver Recognition system, amplifying the significance of every decision made both on and off the track. Much like reality, as a player’s reputation ascends, so do the opportunities, including the chance to engage in clandestine contract negotiations, receive enticing offers from other teams and benefit from a more motivated Research and Development team. This mode introduces a fresh, unique twist with accolades, representing long-term milestones tied to the sport and each driver’s real-world achievements. Starting as a custom driver provides a blank canvas, with accolades earned progressively throughout the journey, while opting to play as a professional triggers challenges inspired by their actual accomplishments.

Incorporating all the latest single-player enhancements, the Two-Player Career Mode offers an immersive experience, while the Challenge Career introduces a fresh competitive dimension to F1 24. This mode presents shorter, dynamic scenarios that evolve throughout the year, providing bite-sized challenges. Players step into the roles of existing drivers and teams, with events standardized for all players and influenced by player voting.
