F1 22 Adds Alfa Romeo F1 Team 2023 C43 Car Today, Coming to The Play List on March 2

EA and Codemasters have added the Alfa Romeo F1 Team 2023 C43 car for F1 22 today. This marks the first time a current F1 title will feature a real-world livery. In the special time trial mode of F1 22, players can now use the exact same vehicle that the actual drivers will be using in the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship.

“Pre-season testing is a highly anticipated moment in the Formula 1 calendar and the first opportunity for fans to see how the new cars perform on the grid,” said John Merchant, F1 Global Brand Director at EA SPORTS. “We’re delighted to become part of the 2023 re-start by giving our players the opportunity to be the first to race and test the C43.”

“Fans mean everything to us, and to be able to give them the chance to drive our new Alfa Romeo F1 Team C43 before they even see it on track in real life is something that was never done before in the official F1 video games,” said Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Managing Director of Sauber Group and Alfa Romeo F1 Team Representative. “We’re proud to be at the leading edge of this pioneering approach, but this is not the whole story: we have a lot more in store, planned for the season, and we can’t wait to show you.”

F1 22 patch 1.18 was also released today fixing a few issues. Check out the patch notes below.

  • Addition of the 2023 Alfa Romeo F1 Team C43 for use in Time Trial game mode

  • Fixed an issue where, in some instances, an incorrect champion could be crowned if drivers finished the season on the same amount of points in My Team
  • Various Minor Fixes

F1 22 will be added to The Play List on March 2 for EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
