Steel City Interactive is back with a new eSports Boxing Club gameplay video. It’s been a minute since the last update so the team is highlighting some of the improvements made in the game.
Will Kinsler (AKA Raczilla), director of global communications for SCI, highlights camera angles, punching animation improvements, inside fighting and more. Also announced in the video, welterweight Kell Brook has been added to the already impressive roster of over 200 fighters.
With the assistance of world champion boxers, improved punch mechanics and additional motion capturing, the team has increased the punch controls from 36 to over 60 individual punches. Power punches are available for every punch type and individual muscle flexes can be seen when punches are thrown.
Will couldn’t go into too many details about judging but mentioned there will be a variety of outcomes in fights since there will be multiple judges that might not see the fight the same way. We all know how that can go.
A bulk of the roster will be available at launch but there will be fighters available as paid and free DLC over time. The team has to get fighters scanned, into development and approved. That takes time since they need to work with the boxer’s busy schedule to get them in. While they don’t have an official launch roster at this time, fans can expect to see Canelo, Ali, Fury, Wilder, Crawford, Frazier, Roy Jones, Lomachenko and more.
