The EA Sports WRC team has shared a first look at the two new locations set to appear in the upcoming 2024 Season Expansion. Game Designer and professional rally driver Jon Armstrong guides viewers through Orlen 80th Rally Poland and Tet Rally Latvia, offering expert insights and strategies for tackling these demanding terrains.
In Poland, drivers will face fast, open stages with a mix of slippery and bumpy gravel and tarmac roads, where precision and anticipation are key. Meanwhile, the Latvian Rally presents flatter, wider roads that challenge drivers with tight braking points, hazardous ditches, and chicanes that require careful handling.
Both locations have been thoroughly researched to provide an authentic rally experience, complete with stunning vistas and meticulously recreated landscapes. The development team has gone to great lengths to ensure accuracy, using Armstrong’s personal videos from his real-life competitions in Poland to capture every detail of the terrain.
The 2024 Season Expansion adds five new cars across the three main WRC categories. In the WRC category, players can access the Ford Puma Rally1 HYBRID ’24, Hyundai i20 N Rally1 HYBRID ’24, and Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 HYBRID ’24. The WRC2 category welcomes the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, while the Junior WRC category introduces the Ford Fiesta Rally3 Evo. The expansion features over 50 liveries and crews from the current FIA World Rally Championship season, available in all supported game modes, with real-world driver and co-driver pairings serving as AI opponents.
The Le Maestros Content Pack will be released in Winter 2024, followed by the Hard Chargers Content Pack in Spring 2025. All three content packs are included in the EA Sports WRC Season Expansion bundle, though pricing has yet to be announced. Existing EA Sports WRC players must purchase the Season Expansion bundle or individual packs, while new players can buy EA Sports WRC with the 2024 Season Expansion bundle included.
