EA Sports UFC 5 Patch 1.12 Adds More Fighters, Alter Egos, Gameplay Fixes - Patch Notes

EA Sports UFC 5 patch 1.12 arrived today featuring four new fighters: Payton Talbott, Vitor Petrino, Karine Silva and Ricky Simon. The patch implemented several gameplay updates, including adjustments to the lead hook block counter mechanic and a fix for an issue that previously allowed the Body Crane Kick to track side lunges. The update also addresses an exploit that enabled players to see their opponent’s selected fighter before starting an online ranked match. Check out the patch notes and additional details below.

Alex Pereira (2024) (UFC 303) (LHW) will be added on August 20 and Ian Garry (2024) (UFC 303) (WW) on August 27. The latest blog revealed Tatsuro Taira, Manuel Torres, Tabatha Ricci and Daniel Zellhuber will arrive in September.

Gameplay Updates

  • Fixed an issue that made the special lead hook block counter too slow and allowed opponents to partially block it in some weight classes.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed fighters to walk unrealistically while recovering from stationary sways.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the Body Crane Kick to track side lunges.

General Updates

  • Addressed an exploit that allowed players to view their opponent’s selected fighter before the start of an online ranked match. The issue was addressed by reducing the time allowed to lock in your fight during the fighter selection phase. 

Misc. Additions and Updates

  • New assorted vanity rewards added.
