EA Sports FC 25 Gameplay Video - Rush 5v5

The EA Sports FC 25 team shared over two hours of gameplay footage today on their new Rush mode, the new 5v5 addition to the FC franchise. For those unfamiliar with the new mode, each match starts with players rushing towards the halfway line to claim possession. The offside rule is adjusted for the smaller pitch, applying only in the attacking third.

There are no red cards in Rush. Serious fouls result in blue cards, causing the player to head to the sidelines for a minute. If the opposition scores, the player can return. Draws will lead to a 2 minute and 20 second golden goal extra time and then a unique 1 on 1 penalty shootout if the match remains tied.

Rush is available in all game modes, including clubs, ultimate team and career. In ultimate team, you control one player for the entire match, making it more personal and a complex complement to rivals and champs, while still earning rewards for your squad.

The EA Sports FC 25 Standard Edition will release on September 27 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. The Ultimate Edition releases on September 20, along with the EA Play 10 hour early access trial.
