EA Sports College Football 25
EA Sports College Football 25 Gameplay Video
EA finally gave us our first extended look at in-game action in EA Sports College Football 25 today with a 20-minute video showcasing Michigan vs. Texas and Michigan vs. Penn State.
While it was not full, unedited games, it was two looks at how the game will look without much editing in place. It was uptempo action that I think reinforced that this is not going to be an all-new game, but rather a college take on the old NCAA Football formula updated for modern times. This means plenty of big plays, open-field chaos, and just enough turnovers to keep things interesting.
In terms of things we’ve seen a lot over the years in Madden’s gameplay showing up here, it was a heavy dose of crossing routes, Texas routes, a little bit of backs running in place when going into the back of offensive linemen, some dicey pursuit angles, and some open-field jukes deking out multiple defenders.
On the newer end of things, we had more left-stick moves being effective, the new “inaccuracy” on meter throws being just worse throws rather than massive misses, the modified pitch system, and shell coverages.
There’s plenty more to scope out from those videos, but for now check out the video for yourself and feel free to join the discussion on the forums.
