EA FC 25 Rush Mode Tips: Best Players to Use and How to Get Points Fast
Don’t waste your time in Rush!
Not only is Rush the main new feature for FC 25, but it’s also the best thing EA Sports has added to Ultimate Team in years. Since it’s so new, Rush also comes with a learning curve when it comes to winning matches and making the most of your time in the mode. To help you, we’ve put together some tips for FC 25 Rush mode, including details on how to get points fast and which players you should use.
EA FC 25 Rush Mode Tips
Communication Is Vital
Arguably the most frustrating part of Rush mode is having to play alongside other players. If you’ve jumped into the mode, you’ll no doubt have been matched on the same team as players who just pick their fastest player and run with the ball, refusing to come back and defend.
The single best way to do well in Rush is to communicate with your team. Whether that’s by playing with friends or using the in-game communication system with randoms, that’s up to you.
Passing the ball, organizing yourselves from kick-off, creating cutback opportunities, and having a defensive shape are all important in Rush, and are much easier to organize if you’re talking to your teammates. After struggling in general matchmaking, my friends and I went on a 15-game winning streak playing together, even getting a couple of clean sheets, which are extremely rare in Rush.
Pass The Ball & Utilize Kick-Offs
As I’ve said, passing is vital in Rush. If you’re able to analyze how aggressive your opponents are, you’ll be able to utilize faked runs for long passes or pace out wide to pass around pressing attackers. You need to keep the passing fast and intentional, pulling opponent players out of position.
I’d also recommend keeping the ball on the grass. In FC 25, and in Rush mode in particular, lobbed passes tend to be quite floaty and inaccurate, unless you’re using a player with Long Ball Pass PlayStyle+. You can chip the ball out wide from kick-off if the opponent team presses and leaves space in behind, but otherwise, it’s best to keep the ball on the turf.
Kick-offs are generally a great opportunity to score in Rush. Teams will often press high quickly, giving you the opportunity to pass through them. If your opponent team doesn’t leave at least one player back defending, you’ll often be through on goal with just one pass. One thing my team has found useful is dummy runs from kick-off. If you’re furthest forward from kick-off, move towards the ball and your goal, dragging the defender with you before quickly switching direction and running forward. It’ll be hard for the opponent defender to react and you’ll often find yourself in space. If your teammate on the ball can find you, it should be an easy chance to score.
Use The Right PlayersÂ
There are also certain types of players who are good in EA FC 25’s Rush mode. I always think it’s good to have one defensive player on a team. For that player, it’s best to use a full-back or a well-rounded CDM because CBs tend to lack the required technical stats.
Elsewhere, don’t just pick your fastest player. While a decent pace stat is good to have, opt for someone more well-rounded who can influence the game in all aspects, not letting the team down when it comes to passing or finishing.
The other thing to keep in mind is the height of your player. Having a taller player who can act as a pressure reliever can be really useful, and they’ll be a threat from corners if not marked correctly.
Best Players To Use In Rush
To expand on that, we’ll now give you some ideas of which players to use for the currently active Rush modes.
Of course, who you use depends on the currently active mode. Right now, Welcome to Rush is the active Rush mode in Ultimate Team, which requires the player you use to be untradeable and a max overall of 79 rated.
You can’t really change which players you have untradeable, but here are players who are best to use:
Player Name | OVR Rating | Position | Nationality | Club |
---|---|---|---|---|
Alejandro Garnacho | 79 | LM | Argentina | Manchester United |
Weston McKennie | 78 | CM | USA | Juventus |
Endrick | 77 | ST | Brazil | Real Madrid |
Hany Mukhtar | 79 | CAM | Gerrmany | Nashville SC |
Martin Terrier | 79 | ST | France | Bayer Leverkusen |
Matheus Cunha | 79 | ST | Brazil | Wolves |
Renato Sanches | 77 | CM | Portugal | Benfica |
Sacha Boey | 79 | RB | France | Bayern Munich |
Pedro Neto | 79 | RW | Portugal | Chelsea |
Quinten Timber | 79 | CM | Netherlands | Feyernoord |
Ryan Gravenberch | 78 | CM | Netherlands | Liverpool |
How To Get Rush Points Fast
Since there aren’t weekly rewards, the main aim of playing Rush mode is getting the 70,000 Rush points that are required each week.
If you play alone and rely on matchmaking, you’re not going to get more than roughly 1,500-2,000 points for completing a match. The single best way to maximize your points is to play with friends. Completing a game with a minimum of one friend in your squad adds 3,000 points to the score you get at the end. That instantly more than doubles the number of points you’ll get.
Obviously, another way to get points quickly is to win the matches. You get 500 Rush points for completing a match, but 1,000 for a win.
Finally, look at the bonuses on offer for player selection at the start of a game. You’ll get 500-800 additional points if anyone on your team uses a player who matches one of the five requirements. They will be things like having a player from a specific league or nation, or using an in-progress Evolution player in Ultimate Team. If you can find a player in your club that matches more than one, that’s even better.
Listen to all of these tips and you’ll get upwards of 6,000 points for every match you complete. The 70,000 points will be gained in no time.
By following all of our FC 25 Rush tips, you’ll be winning matches, getting points, and earning rewards as much as possible.
