EA Closing in on New Six Year Exclusive Deal with Premier League

EA is closing in on a new six year exclusive deal with the Premier League according to Sky Sports. The deal could be worth £488m or roughly $600 million. The article goes on to mention that it’s more than double the existing deal.

The deal would secure the Premier League exclusively for the upcoming EA Sports FC allowing fans to play as any of the 20 Premier League clubs, complete with official kits, logos, authentic broadcast and much more.

EA and LaLiga announced a multi-year agreement last year and more licensing deals are on the horizon. That’s a lot of money but Ultimate Team modes generated $1.6 billion overall last year and continues to trend upwards.

EA hasn’t made an official announcement yet but it’s likely to happen soon. As most of you already know, EA officially changed the name of the FIFA series to EA Sports FC back in May of last year after almost a 30 year partnership.
