EA Announces New Game Updates and Real-World Challenges For F1 23

EA announced some new game updates and real-world challenges for F1 23 earlier today. ‘F1 World’, the in-game hub connecting drivers with the sport, will introduce a ‘Pro Challenge’ in late August, allowing fans to compete with EA Sports ambassador Max Verstappen in a ghost lap time trial.

‘F1 Replay’ also launched today, providing armchair F1 drivers the opportunity to relive races from the 2023 season by assuming the roles of any of the 20 drivers in a replica Grand Prix. The journey begins with a recreation of the FORMULA 1 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX 2023 with each subsequent week introducing a new race from the 2023 calendar.

F1 23 will update ‘Leagues’ on July 25, a companion feature that allows players to create, join, schedule, and manage custom multiplayer championships using the free EA Racenet app, available for web and mobile on iOS and Android platforms. With this update, ‘On-Demand’ league racing will be introduced, granting players the flexibility to race without the need to adhere to a specific date and time.

Players will be able to customize AI settings and difficulties in each league, adding a new dimension to the multiplayer experience. In the future, telemetry data via the app will be enhanced, enabling racers to not only compare their time trial laps against friends and rivals but also against professional drivers. This feature promises to elevate the competition and immerse players in a more dynamic and thrilling racing environment.

The F1 23 Driver Ratings were updated today as well with input from F1 experts Anthony Davidson and Alex Jacques. This update aims to better reflect drivers’ real-life performances from Monaco to Silverstone. Players can find the full list of updated in-game Driver Ratings and more information on the official website.
