The Parallel Paradise Event replaces the Nike City Connect Event that was featured for just three days. In perhaps another sign of how SDS is trying to keep Diamond Dynasty fresh, we’re really cycling through these events early in the year, and I’m really liking the change. While the cards in the events so far are not top-tier cards everyone is trying to grab, it makes them feel more limited edition with each event bringing new rewards rather than going with extended part 1, part 2, part 3 events like many were last season. The new top rewards in this event are Rookie Honus Wagner and Prime Steve Cishek.
This event will run until April 21, so this will be the longest event so far. However, I suspect we’ll keep getting varied lengths of time on these events in general based on the direction SDS is going with how the Featured Program will also have a varying length from program to program. The one prediction I noticed some making that is not happening here is there is no extra Face of the Franchise pack among the rewards. SDS is so far keeping those cards just to the Featured Program, most likely in an effort to keep them feeling special at least through the length of the program itself.
