Coming off the Ranked Seasons update last night, we get our usual Headliners pack today and the first update to the newest mode Mini Seasons. Let’s chat about Headliners Set 10 2nd Half Heroes Gary Sheffield then jump into the Mini Seasons update.
Headliners Set 10 – 2nd Half Heroes Gary Sheffield
Sheffield comes to the plate with maxed out contact vs. LHP and power over 100 as well. His stats against RHP are perfectly solid as well, and he has 92 vision to tie it together. In general, Sheffield’s swing is generally the X factor with him. There are not a ton of 2nd Half Heroes cards as of yet, but there are a lot of good outfielders already battling for spots, so it’s one of those things where his swing path and how he lines up at the plate will be important. In other words, he’s going to be someone you need to try out in order to really know if he’s good or not.
Here are his ratings:
The odds on Headliners packs to pull a diamond are 1:10 (as always), albeit that diamond might not be 2nd Half Heroes Gary Sheffield. In addition, this year you can buy one pack of the Headliners choice pack, which gives you 1:3 odds of pulling a 90+ overall diamond (and of course costs more stubs).
Mini Seasons May Update
It’s hard to say the Mini Seasons update isn’t somewhat disappointing in that we don’t get a new player to chase here. I do wonder if some of the technical issues still plaguing the mode for some users (wins not counting being a major one) played into the decision to not really add a ton here for now. That said, here are the new missions and goals that were added.

It seems like the Longoria card from Season 1 was also removed, but the repeatable missions that existed at the start remain in place. All in all, Mini Seasons remains a smart addition to DD, but fixing the bugs people are experiencing probably remains the first priority before making the rewards stronger season to season.
