College Football 25's release month revealed by ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit

EA Sports College Football 25 looks set to be released in July, according to a quote from ESPN College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit.
Herbstreit was appearing on fellow analyst Pat McAfee’s daily live show on April 1 to discuss the upcoming NFL Draft and the top college prospects heading into April’s draft, but the pair also took some time to discuss the highly-anticipated release of College Football 25.
Herbstreit, who will team up to provide analysis alongside Chris Fowler as one of the game’s commentary teams, spoke about how there would be “different broadcast booths for different types of games that you play in,” but most importantly revealed that he “thinks it comes out in July.”
Of course, while this isn’t official confirmation, the fact that Herbstreit, who has been doing voice-over sessions for two years, gave a month is big news, and is likely to be pretty accurate considering how close to the development of the game he is. He’s not finished yet either, telling McAfee that he still has a “bunch left to go.”
We’ll likely not hear an official date until the College Football 25 reveal in May, but a July launch would make a lot of sense, especially considering that the season will get underway in August. What better way to start building hype for the 2025 season than giving everyone the chance to try and lead one of the 134 FBS schools to a National Championship?
Over 10,000 athletes have already opted into the game as part of the NCAA NIL policy, ensuring a truly realistic experience, something that I just can’t wait to experience. NCAA Football 14 was my first and only introduction to the world of college football over a decade ago, and with a release window now revealed by Herbstreit, I’m just counting down the days to July.
