Athletic Director Simulator 3000
Athletic Director Simulator 3000 Available Today - Free For a Limited Time
Extra Points’ Matt Brown, our main source for EA Sports College Football licensing scoops, has released Athletic Director Simulator 3000. With Apple IIe-inspired graphics and 8-bit audio, ADS3000 is a love letter to mid-1980s educational computer games, but with a modern twist.
ADS3000 asks players to take over as the athletic director of a low-major D-I university, managing real-world scenarios, while balancing a department budget, fan support, and athletic success. Players who are successful managers may get promoted to mid and high-major programs (that face different challenges), while players who make poor decisions will be fired. Just like in the real world, there are no right answers, and no two playthroughs of the game will be identical.
Matt designed the game not only to provide entertainment to players but also to offer readers a deeper insight into the intricate workings of managing an athletic department in the realm of college sports. To achieve this, both Extra Points and D1.ticker, drawing from their wealth of experience and expert advice from the industry, have extensively covered administrative matters in college sports, crafting the game’s questions, probabilities, and other elements. Matt is confident that not only regular fans but also students studying college athletics administration will find enjoyment and valuable learning opportunities through this project.
