All MUT Changes Coming in Madden 24

EA posted a new Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) deep dive earlier today going over some of the updates coming in Madden NFL 24. While there are some decent additions to the mode, we can’t ignore the fact they didn’t mention addressing depth chart/substitution issues or giving players the ability to save custom audibles, as GutFoxx eloquently puts it.

MUT 24 will feature seven full seasons, revamped onboarding for the noobs and a friendly Live Events Hub. The Hub will streamline content displayed by exclusively presenting elements tied to the program you’ve chosen. After selecting a specific program, the hub will automatically refine the on-screen items to showcase the items that are relevant.

The new Item Catalog will assist players in figuring out how to get those elusive items you’ve never seen before in head-to-head games.

The Catalog aims to solve that. Every item that can be obtained in game, will appear in the Catalog and selecting an item will inform you where and how you can obtain that item. You will be able to view any Player Item’s Abilities, AP Cost of Abilities, and the Global Usage of any player available in Ultimate Team!

Due to evolving gameplay differences among console generations, a shared Madden Ultimate Team economy is no longer practical. Dividing the economies enables the integration of new features like Cross-Play. Of note, if you transfer Rookie Premiere players from the prior console generation to the new one using the same account, they’ll be accessible on either console.

Make sure to check out the blog for more, including details on Competitive Pass, MUT Champs structure and the MCS. The team plans to Twitch stream on August 14 at 6:00 PM ET with more details, including information on five programs launching early in season 1 and over 100 player reveals.

Last but not least, the MUT ratings reveal also began today starting with the top 10 offensive linemen, defensive linemen and defensive ends.
