AEW: Fight Forever to Release on June 29
All Elite Wrestling’s first video game finally has a release date. AEW:Fight Forever is set to release on June 29 for the Xbox, PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
This announcement comes days after several videos and screenshots of the game’s achievement system were found online. Some fans even started to pre-load Fight Forever on Xbox, leading many to speculate that a release was inching closer.
We first heard about AEW: Fight Forever back in November 2020, but with several additions to the roster and other hiccups along the way, development has taken longer than many had hoped.
Back in March, after AEW Revolution, Tony Khan revealed that Fight Forever was nearing completion. This would later be disputed by THQ Nordic’s community manager, Hollenbo or Zyddies on Twitter, who explained there were still several hurdles before the game was 100% complete and ready to release.
I mean if you want an unfinished game sure we could release now 😆
The game is doing really well and is getting there, but not 100% yet, so yea just another rumour on twitter I fear 😔

Hollenbo was then asked why some are saying the game is finished while others dispute that claim. Here’s what he said:
“There are tons of things to take into consideration when developing a game — submission, QA, loca[lisation], ratings, optimisation, polish, coding and much more. So even if a game looks finished to some people, if it missed one of those steps it isn’t finished or ready to release.”
According to the official website, AEW: Fight Forever will feature a loaded roster along with 10+ match-types including: Singles, Tag-Team, 3-Way, 4-Way, Ladder, Casino Battle Royale, Falls Count Anywhere, Unsanctioned Lights Out, Exploding Barbed Wire Death plus online modes including Co-Op tag team. There will also be several mini-games and a fully-functional story mode, that according to the recent leaks, is called Road to the Elite.
As a day one AEW fan, I’ve been looking forward to Fight Forever since the game was first announced back in 2020. My excitement quickly grew when I found out Yuke’s would be overseeing development. After all, the best wrestling game of all-time (IMO) is WWF No Mercy. With that said, after countless delays and the product itself losing my interest at one point, my excitement for AEW’s first wrestling video game had taken a step back. But now that All Elite Wrestling has once again found its groove and a rumored release is near, my excitement is once again at an all-time high. Now, I just hope the game lives up to the hype and can become the elite wrestling game we’ve all been waiting for since WWF No Mercy debuted over 20 years ago.
Blood confirmed.
We've heard that many of you were worried that the blood was removed from #AEWFightForever. We'll let these new screenshots speak for themselves.#AEWgames pic.twitter.com/BPxhrSXZyg
