12-Hour Charity Event on Saturday for Covid-19 Relief Funding: Enthusiast Gaming Joining With Twitch to Help With the Effort
Twitch Stream Aid 2020 will go live on Saturday at 12 p.m. EST to help raise money for Covid-19 relief funding. The event will feature multiple Twitch Rivals events, musical performances and a litany of well-known folks from gaming, music and sports. Twitch has had a lot of success with fundraising events like GDQ through the years, so hopefully this is another success.
Operation Sports’ parent company Enthusiast Gaming has also partnered with Twitch to promote the fundraiser, and will be bringing along Super Bowl Champion and brand ambassador Richard Sherman of the San Francisco 49ers, who will join Darius Slay — recently acquired by the Philadelphia Eagles — for some Call of Duty: Warzone action. I don’t believe Erin Andrews or Michael Crabtree will be there, but I’m sure Sherman will still be entertaining regardless. The Luminosity schedule is as follows:
You can take a look at the event’s current schedule, along with the full list of who will be appearing, at the official Stream Aid 2020 website.
All proceeds raised by Stream Aid viewers will be donated to the United Nations’ COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. If you also stream, you can even run a parallel co-stream as Twitch will also be spotlighting various random streamers who share the #TwitchStreamAid hashtag on their channels.
Stream Aid 2020 goes live tomorrow, March 28, over on Twitch.
